What is a Pedometer?

A pedometer measures the number of steps you take in a day and is a
good measure of your activity level – both through incidental movement and
planned exercise.
Pedometers have many advantages as they:
  • are very economical and easy to wear
  • give you instant feedback on how active or inactive you’ve been
  • can be used by anyone of any age or fitness level
  • will motivate you to be more active and achieve your weight loss goals
  • can become your very own a personal trainer
Although there are some very sophisticated models of pedometers available,
all you need is one that measures steps with some degree of accuracy.
