Strength Training

Strength training during weight loss helps preserve and builds muscles which in turn helps maintain and even raise the metabolic rate.  This can assist with weight loss and weight maintenance in the long term.

Strength training also has many other health benefits such as improved muscle tone, improved mobility and balance, increased bone density and a general improvement in self esteem.

There are a number of different forms of resistance training include using free weights, weight machines, resistance bands or your own body weight.
