Walking for Health

Walking is an excellent form of cardiovascular exercise and can assist in reducing the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke and diabetes. It strengthens and tones the muscles of the legs and hips and will keep your bones strong.

Walking is great for fat burning as you can maintain a constant increased heart rate for an extended period of time.  This in turn encourages the body to use fat as the major fuel source for the muscles

Walking is cheap, only requires a pair of good walking shoes.  You can do it any where at any time and if the weather is bad you can even walk the length of a shopping center.
