The best tips to survive the festive season

Practical tips from our testimonials to stay on track of your goals while still enjoying the best time of year.

This festive season is always a difficult time of year to stay on track with our health goals. So we asked a few of our testimonials to share their thoughts and ideas on how to enjoy the festive, party season and Christmas day, without undoing all of the hard work we’ve all put into achieving our health goals this year.

Tristan & Hayley – Adelaide (lost kilos 20 and 5 kilos)

What are your tips for the party season?

“Sparkling water with lemon is a good way to avoid the temptation of alcohol and soft drinks at parties. And if we do have a dinner or a party to go to, we make sure we have a Lite n’ Easy lunch to balance things out.”

How will you spend Christmas day?

“Christmas day will be a day to enjoy with the family and we won’t stress about what we’re eating. We will enjoy everything but maybe just in a little more moderation than previous years.

Nikki – Brisbane (lost 25 kilos)

What are your tips for the party season?

“It is okay, especially this time of the year, to go out for dinner or a celebration party. But try and plan your parties and events ahead of time so you can work out how best to modify your eating plans around your social events.”

How will you spend Christmas day?

“I’ll enjoy all the traditional Christmas foods, but will keep things in moderation. I’ll still make sure I incorporate my daily exercise and I’ll reset back to my normal Lite n’ Easy eating on Boxing Day.”

Gaby – Sydney (lost 34 kilos)

How will you stay on track over December?

“I usually stick to 5 days a week during Christmas. That way I still have the flexibility to eat out or attend events if I like, but I can continue to eat healthy in between.”

How will you spend Christmas day?

“I’m going to enjoy Christmas dinner with my family and not stress about what I’m eating. I’ll then happily return to my Lite n’ Easy on Boxing Day. After all of the festivities of Christmas, I will enjoy having a reset with Lite n’ Easy.”

Leah – Brisbane (lost 6 kilos)

What are your tips for the party season?

“Continue your exercise routine, and even try to add in some incidental exercise. If you’re drinking, drink plenty of water between drinks and try and stay away from too many high calorie snacks – make carrot sticks and celery your friends.”

How will you stay on track over December?

“I’ll continue to order Lite n’ Easy throughout December, but I’m also upping my exercise to give myself some more freedom. It’s swimwear season so that gives me motivation to continue with my goals.”
