Before Lite n’ Easy I was gaining weight, but I had put the cause down to a middle age slowing of my metabolism and as an inevitable part of being a mum.
It took an emergency admission to hospital for me to finally realise how bad my my weight gain and unhealthy lifestyle had become. Standing on the scales in hospital I realised I had somehow gained 15 kilos in the last 2 years! It was quite a confronting moment.
Once I recovered from my illness, I became determined to turn my life around and look after myself better. The first steps were to eat healthily, drink more water, plan my meals better and lose weight.
Lite n’ Easy provided me with the perfect solution.
In September 2019, I decided to give the Lite n’ Easy’s 5 day Lunch and Dinner plan a try. It proved to be godsend for me and really helped turn my bad eating habits around.
In not much more time than it once took me to grab a handful of biscuits, I was now eating a delicious, healthy lunch instead. The fast food stopped, and I managed my afternoon hunger by firstly eating lunch and then the afternoon snack provided.
The first week was great. I looked down at the scales and I’d lost two kilos, which was just amazing. It was far more than I expected. And then the weight loss just kept on coming.
My initial goal had been to lose 10 kilos by Christmas, however by the last day of school in term 4, I had lost 17 kilos! I had gone from squeezing into a size 14 to a size 10!
On average I lost 1 kilo a week and went on to lost 24 kilos in total.
Since starting on Lite n’ Easy I feel so much better. I have more energy, my knees no longer ache and my food related gastro problems have stopped. Plus, I have more time for my family with meal preparation and clean up time cut down to a matter of minutes.
But most importantly, I am healthy and feel better within myself.
