After having my two children (Noah 4 and Willow 2), I found myself with less time and energy to look after myself.
When Willow was 18 months old, I was contemplating a new wardrobe another size up, after already going up one dress size after Noah was born! I just thought that was what my age, having children and lifestyle was leading to.
I realised though, that it wasn’t the best thing for me or my family to be putting myself last, so I started reintroducing regular exercise and healthy eating into my daily habits.
My husband and I have used Lite n’ Easy in the past mostly for convenience around the time that the kids were born and no one was getting any sleep, so I knew we liked the variety and quality of the food.
I went into the 1500 Calorie plan which was fantastic to get my portion control and overall diet back under control. My favourites are the nachos for lunch and the Spinach & Ricotta Tortellini for dinner.
Six months on and I am literally back to my old self.
I have gone back to the same weight I was through my 20’s before the kids were born and couldn’t be happier. As far as excerise goes, I do a morning walk for 40 minutes, 2 heavy weight classes (one upper body, one lower body) and one cardio session per week.
I posted some before and after shots on my social media and was overwhelmed by people thanking me for sharing my story. I think a lot of women believe their body changes after they have children and as they get older and there’s nothing they can do about it. Turns out they can!
