Before Lite n’ Easy I was almost 120 kilos and I didn’t feel very good about myself at all. I had no energy, was tired all the time, I wasn’t happy or healthy at all. I’m an operating theatre nurse and I knew if I didn’t change, I was going to wind up being one of the patients I saw every day in surgery. I needed to start looking after myself and get my own health in order.
When my first Lite n’ Easy delivery arrived I was so excited. It was portion controlled, it was nutritious, it tasted good and what I loved most was that every day I would have something different. Week after week, I didn’t feel like I was on a diet because Lite n’ Easy did all the hard work for me.
Lite n’ Easy immediately took the stress and anxiety out of losing weight
The other thing I love about Lite n’ Easy is so much of it is fresh. You get great salads, you get fresh fruit and you get these awesome snacks. And there’s a mix of frozen and fresh dinners now and they all taste better than anything I can cook.
A month after I started ordering Lite n’ Easy I also joined the gym and made a commitment to be more active. I lost 40 kilos over the next 12 months and everything changed for me. I have maintained that weight loss for 5 years now. I have energy, I have a drive for life and I have found a new way to live thanks to Lite n’ Easy. Most of all I am happy and I am healthier than I have ever been.
I still order the 5 Day Meal Plan from Monday to Friday to maintain my weight because the food is fantastic and it makes life easy for me with shift work. Then on the weekends I let loose a little and do my own thing with family and friends.
It feels good to know that with Lite n’ Easy I can maintain a happy healthy me and I couldn’t be happier with where I am.
Update from Kate – April 2020
Lite n’ Easy is the one constant for me during such a stressful time – it’s really keeping me sane! Being well nourished is more important than ever now. I am doing overtime shifts of up to 14 hours at a time. Also I’ve been a member of the hospital’s COVID Airway Team a number of times, this is to support ICU and ED as there’s lots of new procedures around the care of our Covid patients. We go and support the other departments with securing the patients airways. I am also ordering meals for my parents so they can stay at home and care for my disabled sister Leah who is at extreme high risk. Thank you!
