“More Time Together”

Colin and Hazel were finding daily meals harder to manage, especially with food intolerances and a lack of confidence in the kitchen. Since bringing Lite n’ Easy into their routine, things have become simpler. Meals are easier to organise, and there’s less decision making around what to eat. It’s given them more time to focus on what they enjoy, from writing to bushwalking and with the support through their Support at Home funding, they’ve also found it a very affordable option.

“We kept asking, what’s for lunch?”

Before Lite n’ Easy, meals were something they had to work through each day. Hazel did her best, but cooking was becoming an ‘energy- hungry marathon’. With both of them managing food intolerances, even simple meals took thought and planning. The same question kept coming up: “What would you like for lunch today?” It sounds small, but over time it became a daily sticking point without an easy answer.

It wasn’t just cooking that felt difficult, it was everything behind it. Planning meals, checking ingredients and trying to keep things interesting added a quiet pressure to each day. They had tried another ready-made meal service, but without being able to choose their meals and check ingredients, it wasn’t the solution. Also, the food wasn’t enjoyable, and the experience felt impersonal. It left them wanting something simpler that still gave them control.
