Back in 2010 my wife Lynne and I decided to try Lite n’ Easy and we both successfully lost about 10 kilos each. Unfortunately, Lynne became ill with lung disease and so we drifted away from the meal plans. Last year Lynne sadly passed away after 12 years of being an invalid, requiring constant care. We had been married for 56 years.
I decided on the My Choice meals by Lite n’ Easy and have them with a small salad I make up myself, most nights. My Choice is great, tasty, and not too much, with good variety. I usually order 14 at a time, it is cost-effective and saves a lot of time shopping and cooking especially now I’m on my own.
I do weight training twice per week and use the rowing machine five days per week for 15 to 25 minutes. I love my cycling and do roughly 25 km at least 5 days per week. I also have a standard poodle ‘Ollie” that I walk about 4 to 5 km per day. All in all, this keeps me pretty fit. I am on no medication at all.
My other interests are music and model planes which I build and fly at the local Model Flying Club. I was a professional musician for 53 years and my day job was as an Electronics Technician at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. Now I can easily fit into my old band suit from 1990 and I still play the clarinet and the accordion and do the odd gig locally.
