I have told all my friends, family and neighbours how great Lite n' Easy is, and now quite a few are also ordering for themselves.
Before I started ordering Lite n’ Easy, I would begin the afternoon thinking about what I might cook for dinner. Then I would take my dog for a walk, feed the animals and decide on a toasted cheese sandwich or maybe a couple of dry biscuits with cheese and a bowl of ice cream at about 8.00pm. Subsequently my weight and my overall health suffered.
After contacting my Home Care Package provider to ask about support with my meals, they directed me to Lite n’ Easy. I started ordering the My Choice Dinners initially, then added the fresh lunches as well. I am physically somewhat disadvantaged these days in that I need a walker or a stick to get around, particularly after a nasty fall when I broke my pelvis. Being able to perform such a simple preparation of a Lite n' Easy meal each evening is just fantastic.
My family used to be worried about me not eating properly. Now I can grab a healthy lunch and whenever I finish my "working" day, I can go to my freezer, choose my dinner, and it will be ready to eat in 8 minutes. They are relieved that I am now looking after myself a bit better, but I feel more like Lite n' Easy is looking after me.
I have been widowed for 6 years and live alone but lead a hectic life. I enjoy sewing, gardening and still volunteer at my local community centre as well as editting my local parish newsletter. I like to get out and about most days to stay active and connected in the community.
I do believe that good food, a little activity and social connection are some of the best things you can do for yourself as you get older.
