I didn’t make any time to exercise or look after myself. I almost “lived” in the car as it was my office between long-distance service calls, so I sat often. My lightbulb moment came after a family holiday, and the photos shocked me. I knew if I kept continuing on this tact, I would be in significant trouble with my health.
I turned to Lite n’ Easy and ordered the Standard Meal Plan with breakfast, lunch and dinner. I noticed a change in my weight and my energy levels within just 4 weeks and realised I needed to get out and exercise. So, I started regular walks and doing some weights as well.

Power walking and even running are a breeze now. Best of all I have all the energy I need to keep up with my 8 grandchildren.
In addition to weight loss, I’m pleased that my cholesterol and blood pressure have improved and maintained naturally in the normal range without medication. Another exciting thing happened following my weight loss, my sense of smell and taste returned, and my snoring was reduced.
I decided to share my story because I would like other tradies to know it’s not impossible to get your hands on healthier meals for lunch, even when you are away from a microwave or lunchroom. I just ordered the Lite n’ Easy sandwiches, salads and wraps. Too easy!
Since my original weight loss success 6 years ago, I have continued to use Lite n' Easy. These days I order Lite Lunches and Dinners, alternated with Standard Lunches and Dinners. Occasionally, I rotate onto the Jump Start meal plan when I need to shift a few kilos. The photos for my story here were taken in 2021 and I have even lost a little more since the shoot. I would like to maintain around the 80-kilo mark ongoing.
I am now actively involved with Park Run, and we do a 5 km run every Saturday. My running stats are undeniable, and it is the healthy lifestyle I maintain with Lite n’ Easy which has allowed me to achieve a personal best for my age group.
I am also in the process of exercising to improve my core strength. My legs have developed nicely with my power walking and running, and I now would like to extend that to my upper body. I know Lite n’ Easy will assist me with achieving this goal, as the range of meals now includes high-protein options to support my weight training.
At age 68 I am healthier and happier than ever and continue to be a rock-solid advocate for Lite n’ Easy.
