I was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder later in life and it suddenly made sense why I have always struggled with meal planning. Lite n’ Easy has helped me so much in this regard, giving me a way to manage meals without the stress
For a time I was receiving meals provided by the council, but once I was approved for the NDIS, I was no longer eligible. Lite n’ Easy had been recommended by friends and from then on, I have heaved a sigh of relief.
I always choose the Standard Calorie Program. I found the lunches with snacks suited me best, as there is so much variety. I’verecently added breakfasts to my orders, and I love them. Without this, I imagine I’d make the same meals for myself every day. The corn fritters with tomato jam are a favourite and the tomato soup is delicious.
Prior to starting Lite n’ Easy I had high blood pressure and peripheral neuropathy caused by diabetes and now it’s under control. I’vealso gone from 115kg to just under 90kg. I don’t do a lot of exercise, so this has been a great result from having a routine that works for me.
I’m Scott Wallace Baker and in 2013 I was named Agatha Christie’s Biggest Australian Fan, she’s been a lifelong obsession of mine. That passion has led to some incredible experiences, including appearing on Hard Quiz (and winning the Big Brass Mug) with Agatha as my expert subject and featuring in a documentary on her journey around the world with Sir David Suchet.
I often joke that this reflects how my mind works. I was diagnosed with autism later in life and having a strong, focused interest is a big part of that. While it may not have led to a traditional career path, it has brought me a great deal of enjoyment and some truly unique opportunities. I feel very lucky.
