Before Lite n’ Easy I was overweight and lacking the energy required to complete normal daily tasks. I struggled with self-confidence and poor mental health. I preferred to be alone and not challenge myself either physically or mentally. I decided to take control of my life.

I chose Lite n’ Easy after seeing their TV ads and then did my research and found so many positive reviews and good feedback online. I discovered the program was perfect for my situation, because it provided me with the structure of a meal plan that I absolutely needed. It gave me the peace of mind knowing I could hit my calorie target each day, just by eating all the food and snacks Lite n' Easy provided.
I loved that there was proper fresh food on offer, the meals were fantastic, always fresh and tasty with good variety. I originally ordered the Lite Meal Plan (1200 calories) Lunch and Dinner 5 Days a week and added a pack of desserts to satisfy my sweet tooth of an evening, which had always proved a problem in my past weight loss attempts. I mixed up the orders every week, adding as much variety as possible, so I never got bored.
I decided that I would take an 80/20 approach in my journey. With Lite n’ Easy doing all my food, that was 80% of my weight loss efforts sorted, so the other 20% was up to me – commitment and exercise. I went from catching public transport into work every day and sitting in front of the TV snacking every night to walking at least 10,000 steps a day, then introducing regular runs and gym 6 days a week.
Losing over 60 kilos in such a short time, has been lifeschanging, sometimes it doesn't seem real. I have more confidence in myself, more energy and an even greater focus on self-improvement. I was recently asked to share my story by Lite n’ Easy, which was incredible given where I had come from. I am training for a 10km run and have also started online study again in human resources.
Because I had so much to lose, I found it useful to set short term achievable goals for myself. There were plenty of ups and downs on the way but I just tried to stay focused on the things I could control. My goals included start walking to work and tram it home, then once that was comfortable, walk to and from work, increase to 10,000 steps per day, etc. All of these smaller goals helped me get to the bigger picture goals.
I would not have been able to do any of this without Lite n’ Easy's help to change my life.
Moving forward I will continue to set myself challenges to keep myself focused and keep me striving to become better.
Coming up I have a 10km run, then after than I am already thinking about challenging myself with another physical activity like half marathon or triathlon. I have even stepped back onto the sporting field to play cricket and AFL with my friends again!
