I started Lite n’ Easy after some work Christmas party photos were put up in our team room and I couldn’t believe how big I looked. As a single mum with 2 teenage kids, one who has a disability with lots of appointments and one who is very active and does a lot of after-school activities; getting food together for all of us was a pain. I was eating my dinner and the kid's leftovers as well as lots of junk food and the kilos piled on.
My first order contained so much food I wondered how I was going to eat it all! I hadn’t eaten fruit regularly for many years and found the fruit snacks got me back into good habits.
I followed the Jump Start meal plan exactly as it was suggested, and I found after a month the weight was dropping off. I set my first goal to lose 5 kilos and in 6 months, 10 kilos came off. Now in total I am very happy to confirm I have lost 20 kilos and maintained the weight loss for many months.
Once the kilos started dropping, I decided to go back to the gym and I loved it! Nowadays I am naturally much more active with regular walks and gym sessions. I have also recently bought a Pilates machine to strengthen my core. It is great that Lite n' Easy has its own in-home exercise App now too, for when it is hard to get out of the house.
I never found it expensive. People at work started commenting how good I looked and many wanted in on the “secret”. The first question usually “How expensive is it?”, but I found I was actually saving money not buying takeaway and junk food. Also because I was ordering Lite n’ Easy online, I started ordering groceries online for the kids, so I never went into the shops, and I wasn’t buying things I didn’t need anymore.
Since I started my daughter has changed to being a vegetarian and I now order her the Lite n’ Easy vegetarian meals with mine.
A year and half later, I am still enjoying the program and the time saved not shopping or cooking. I feel so healthy and fit and it’s a fantastic place to be.
I was very happy to receive a positive health assessment result at my work annual health check, despite a family history of high cholesterol.
