Having my meals delivered by Lite n’ Easy, helps greatly with my independence and mobility issues as I no longer need to do food shopping or stand in the kitchen cooking and doing dishes for long periods.
Living on the aged pension alone can be difficult, but luckily, I was approved for a Home Care Package and now receive a government subsidy on my Lite n’ Easy meals so I only have to pay 30% of the cost. This is much appreciated and necessary with the rising cost of food at supermarkets.
I find the meals so tasty, and l love the salads for lunch and the eggs for breakfast. The snacks and fruit keep me feeling full, so I don’t go looking for junk food. If I’m craving sweets, then I can eat a nourishing Lite n’ Easy pudding or one of the sweet little snacks that come with breakfasts and lunches.
With the good variety of food and portion-controlled size of the meals, I have lost a little weight and I'm doing more walking. Now that I’m feeling healthier, I try to swim a few times a week and I also love practising Chi Gong on the weekends down at the foreshore with a big group of other seniors, then heading out for coffee afterwards. I think it’s important to stay connected to age well.
You’re in charge, so feel free to walk away from the table whenever you want.
